West Northamptonshire are intending on carrying out carriageway repairs on Brington Road, East Haddon and East Haddon Road Brington. To undertake this work safely the road will be closed for 2 days at off peak times, and it is expected that the works will commence on the 29th April 2026.

Northamptonshire Carers are currently looking for volunteers to help unpaid carers across Northamptonshire in various ways, including Long-term Health Condition Support groups, Carers Information and Wellbeing Hubs, Parent Carer support groups, Walk & Talk groups, Young Carers groups, Community Companion (providing friendship and respite), and Telephone befriending. These roles involve offering a warm welcome, engaging in friendly conversation, and providing general support to carers attending the sessions.
All roles are flexible and can fit around people’s availability, even as little as 2 hours per month can make a real difference. No previous experience is needed, just kindness and a willingness to help. Full support and training are provided.

West Northamptonshire Council has launched the Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF) – a new, three‑year programme funded by the UK Government to help residents with financial wellbeing.
The CRF brings together four connected strands of support:
While Crisis Support is available for a small number of urgent situations, most residents will be better supported through Resilience, Housing or Community services.

Are you a mature driver (aged 60+)? Live in Northamptonshire? Rely on being able to drive? This FREE event is for you!
Driving is an important part of our everyday life and we (Northamptonshire Safer Roads Alliance (NSRA)) are keen to help to keep mature drivers driving safer for longer.
Our driving ability to drive changes over time for different reasons, especially as we get older. It’s important that we recognise whether and how our driving is changing so we can stay safe and protect both ourselves and those around us.
This Mature Drivers event is aimed at drivers 60+, and will cover all different aspects of driving.
There will be FREE hints and tips drives available to book, delivered Northampton Advanced Motorists.
Our aim is to keep mature drivers driving safer, for longer.
