Northants Police, Fire and Crime Officer – Online Public Meeting

Tuesday March 10th, 2026/in News/by Clerk

Correspondence from the Office of Northants Police, Fire and Crime Office – Danielle Stone

We want to invite you to join and submit your questions on crime and policing to Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone and Chief Constable Ivan Balhatchet at an online public meeting later this month.

The event will take place between 6.30pm and 8pm on Tuesday 31 March, and will be livestreamed on both the Northamptonshire Police and the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Facebook pages.

For those that don’t have a Facebook account, the event will also be livestreamed on the Northamptonshire Police YouTube channel, where you do not require an account to view.

Questions about any policing or community safety issue are welcomed – potentially covering subjects such as neighbourhood policing, violence against women and girls, retail crime and town centre safety, road safety or funding.

Questions can be sent now by email to chiefschat@northants.police.uk or live during the broadcast via the Facebook or YouTube chat.

We would be grateful if you could join the meeting, and share the details with your networks and constituents, encouraging as many Northamptonshire residents as possible to be aware of the meeting and to take part.

Danielle and Ivan will answer as many questions as they can in the time available and the names of anyone asking a question will not be read out during the broadcast.

Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner Danielle Stone said: “I was so pleased with the engagement we had with the last livestream, which is another way for us to reach out to people and listen to their concerns. I also see this as part of my role of holding the Chief Constable to account for delivering effecting policing to the county.

“As well as answering new questions that come in, we’ll feedback on the 13 actions the Chief Constable and I took away after the last livestream so that people can see we are really listening to what they have to say.”

Chief Constable Ivan Balhatchet said: “This is a great way for us to listen to people from our county. Being accessible and visible is important to me and through the livestream, I can give answers or reassurance on issues that matter to people.”

We hope that you will submit your questions and join the event on the day.
