WELCOME TO THE HISTORY SOCIETY WEBSITE
East Haddon History Society was established on 25th February 2010, in response to feedback from residents during the preparation of the Village Plan during 2009.
Sadly, after more than 10 successful years and a dwindling committee, it was decided that the society could no longer be sustained on history based talks alone. In its place the East Haddon Village Society was formed to provide varied talks and events in the village. Many presentations are still history based but wider topics are now covered too.
However, this website is the result of countless hours of hard work by Rob Divall and contains the valuable results of years of research work by many local volunteers. It is currently being supported by the East Haddon Village Society.
Check it out and you will see what a lot there is to learn about East Haddon
East Haddon is a beautiful village set in the Northamptonshire countryside. Here since before Domesday, the village has a very long history. Why not take a quick tour of the village on the “Gallery tour” page, or look at some closer detail on the “Village Sites” page
East Haddon Village Society talk dates can be viewed from the
Parish Council Website.
